It does if you do it right. It's still primarily a chest workout though. Some involvement of the triceps and shoulders. Your core is used as a stabilizer.
I've thinking of making another subtle brag video of my favorite pushup variations. What do you think?

I'm thinking people just post their numbers and then you add it to a spreadsheet, update whenever you get the time.
