I did it because I wanted to compare readings between a few months of work. I’ll go in fasted like last time and see.
You are right that the mirror and body measurements are what really counts.

I mean it’s really not that accurate either. Might as well do some calipers.

Get a scale from Amazon that tracks this. It's not dead on, but will give you a great approximation and trend line if you do it every morning. It's goes into an app (Abyon) on your phone.

I have one very similar.
If I’m 12% body fat like it says, that would be amazing. I’m closer to 18-20% BF so it’s not accurate in regards to BF

If it's consistent in its readings, you can still track progress with it though.
