I haven't hit a Srixon ball in years.
Any opinions on how the Z Star stacks up against the Chrome Tour, Bridgestone BS or ProV1 ?

I’ve always found the Z Star XV to be a great ball and would put it up against a Pro V1 for sure. Think it’s superior to the others.

Considering I get my ProV1x balls “on the house”, no real reason to try additional balls.

I’ve found Z Star feels softer overall. Great green side spin and control.

I switched from Left Dash to Z Star XV. Same performance but works better around green

What’s the appeal to this?
It looks like a putt putt golf ball, which mentally would refrain me from hitting it well.
Plus an all black ball seems so much easier to lose

Vice made some black balls, I played them for a round. Incredibly easy to track in flight. Just as easy to lose even in open fairways.

Hitting Z Star now.
Great ball, especially around the greens.

A year or two ago I did a ball test because I was wanting to switch from the ProV.
The the alternates I liked the best were the Srixon Z star diamond, Maxfli tour and Bridgestone tour.
I've solely played the Z star diamond for a solid year now and I actually like it more than the ProV. The ball feels so good off the tee and around the green. So soft around the greens. A little too much spin on iron shots but how much I like it in other areas makes it more than worth the extra iron spin.
Have no plans to change balls anytime soon. Usually can buy the two dozen for $70 boxes as well.

Z Star is a bit soft imo, but is a great ball. On the other hand, Z Star XV is too firm and clicky off the face and around the greens for me.
Z Start Diamond has traits of both and is the best of both worlds, so long as you don't have a tendency to hit super spinny shots. Somewhere in between Z Star and XV on firmness, medium-high launch, and higher iron spin. It's the best ball I've ever hit.
