Not really.
Coverage needs a new voice - the players are mostly boring robots, so replacing 2 old dudes with some new perspectives and style was a long time coming, IMO.

Yeah, because Davis Love III is so young and refreshing

Pretty sure DL3 is strictly going to be in the booth - the on-course reporters will likely be younger. Hopefully one of them is a hot female.

He’s been horrendous so far.

I don't see Love as a replacement for Kostis and/or McCord - he's just a name they are using to add legitimacy to their broadcast due to his resume in the game.
The on-course or supplemental commentary talent that adds color to a broadcast needs to be younger, more dynamic, and as I mentioned before, preferably an attractive female.
CBS has been lobbing off these old dudes for years now (Feherty was the 1st domino bc they didn't want to pay to keep him). They want to appeal to a wider audience other than 35-65 white guys in their production and I applaud them for that.

He has primarily been walking.
Brian Katrek and John Maginnes is who should do all the on course reporting.

Weren't Kostis and McCord off-camera for 95% of the broadcast. Kostis would do occasional interviews, but they are mostly talking while the broadcast is showing the golfer.

Um, I think this "hot female" would appeal to 35-65 white guys. If they added Natalie Gulbis to the telecast that's not going to get my wife to start watching.

DLIII has been walking, and I often wonder if they gave him a broken headset, because you only hear from him about once every 30 minutes or so. What's the point of him being out there? I guess they have until the Masters to figure this out.
