Would you rather play the TM TP5 or the Srixon Z series

I just put my last sleeve of Yellow Snells MTBX in my bag.

Overall been a good ball for me, but my wedges do chew the paint off of them easily. Considering this before I make another buy.

Just saw that Golf Discount.com has 3 dozen for 79.99 on the Srixons.

How about the TP5 vs the Srixon Z Stars in Wind, Distance and Spin ?

How about the TP5X vs the Srixon XV in same conditions ?

For the record I really liked the Bridgestone's Tour XS, but they stopped making them in yellow for some reason and I like the yellow ball.

Srixon, but only bc I load up when they have a BOGO free offer. That is hard to beat.

The two balls mentioned are my go to's. I found I get a little more distance with the TP5x (3-5 yards) but seems less spinny with irons/wedges. Can't go wrong with either IMO. Only regret is not buying more Srixon's during the bogo deal

Me personally I'd go with the Z-Stars. I find the distance to be almost the same with both, but the TP5s have a certain clickiness to them when struck. It's an audible difference and more times than not, I thought the shot would come up short but carried like it should've.

Currently playing the Bridgestone Tour BXS and prefer them over both the Z-Star and TP5

What is really eye opening in the total MyGolf Spy report is how big the dispersion of the Snell MTB-X.

My new ball going forward is the Srixon Z Star on yellow.

Bopp Z star kicks arse, it’s unreal around the greens.

Never played tp5 really. But a huge fan on the Srixon Z Star yellow.

I bought 3 dozen TP5 got 1 dozen free. Did the BOGO Z-Star XV...

Off the tee with my driver or 3-wood the Z-star BOMBS. However, around the green with feel and spin, I don't think it's close that the TP5 is better. I've played lots of rounds with both. That's how I personally feel

Don't sleep on the Maxfli Tour balls. Sold exclusively through Dick's. Great ball and scored well in several ball tests. MyGolfSpy and TXG.
AND Dick's often has them on sale 2 for $50. That's a deal.

Maxfli Tour

What's the difference in Z-Star and Z-star XV?

XV is lower spin and ball fight. Also a 4 piece ball

I think z star is opposite and 3 piece.

Maxgli use to be one of the best balls made 30 years ago, then dissapeared.

I haven't thought or hit a Maxfli in years.

Might try a sleeve and see.

Just like the other name brands, the Tour is the "softer" feel and the Tour X is the more firm ball. Your preference. I like the Tour. I felt I had the best blend of distance and spin into and around the greens.

TXG did an interesting test with the Maxfli v the ProV.

Very interesting launch monitor results compared to the ProV1.

The video also reminds people that the ProV1 and the ProV1X swapped positions a couple of years ago.
