Who plays a short driver?

I just ordered an M5 with a 3 wood shaft in it. Total length is 43-43 1/2”. Going to have to add another weight to get the swingweight back up but I am hopeful.
Driving has always been my weakest spot so I went to my local shop and tested out several drivers and liked the M5 head the best. I told him I wanted a 3 wood shaft to test in it and I was hitting it +-5 yards off line about 20 in a row at about 265-270. I don’t play tremendously long courses so that driving distance works for me. Once I get it with a few extra weights I am going to tinker with it this weekend to work out and see if I can get a little more out of it.
For the first time in years I’m excited about a tee box again.

I had one and it really helped me groove a good driver swing. Now, I am back to a longer driver, I think a little longer than standard. The swing is still there, but I have gained a bunch of distance.

I have the potential to have 3. First was an experiment with an older head. It's fade biased, so I can only use it when I am grooved on a slight draw swing. #2 is a heavy head Cobra F8 specifically made to do this. 3rd is my trusty M2. I just keep buying new shafts and cutting them different lengths, then weight accordingly.

I have a TM SLDR 14 degree with a 43” shaft I use as a 3 wood and driver at times. I can control it much better than my M1 but lose some yardage. I would probably be better off using it from the tee much more but I’m tete dur.

Mine only goes about 310 on average. That’s pretty short

Sometimes I go down the grip an inch.

I can't force myself to do that. I am supposed to get the new driver tomorrow so I should be able to weight and test it Friday or Saturday.
