Played a couple times this week. Really struggling with the putter. Anyone have any tips?

Practice 4-5 footers till you're making them like its nothing.

You do that, you find the 10 footers got a lot easier, and from 30 you're not just hoping to 2 putt.

Well what's the problem? Reading the greens or mechanics?

That definitely seems like good advice. Its just killing my scoring. Shot 75 with 36 putts two weekends ago. Last weekend shot 71, but missed 3 five footers.

I guess I just need to actually practice putting instead of just hoping it gets better.

Mechanics for sure. Made a putter change today so I’m hoping that helps (used a blade for the 1st time ever). Still not great, but it because it was the first time, I didn’t have high expectations.

Middle tees and down at hike course

94

My arthritis is flared up like a mofo

I will have no touch on the greens or club face awareness until I can get inflammation under control

What's your miss? Pull, push? If you have short carpet available set up a small Target and putt to it from around 8 feet away. I like to draw a line on the ball and try to make it roll over the line towards the target.

I shot 76 last week, played probably the worst round I've played tee to green in 30 years. 8 GIR and 6 FIR.

Still played the last 16 holes one over by making every putt inside 10 feet.

Yeah... I've never done anything like that

My game is obviously not great, but fine (generally mid 70s-high 70s player). Being able to make putts, even just some of them would give me some decent opportunities to go low (or at least low for me).

Definitely has been a push in recent memory. I was actually a decent putter when I was younger, but not playing in high school hurt the short game. I might try and get one of those truth boards. I know that helped a couple friends be close to automatic from around 3 feet.

Played The Oaks yesterday. In really good shape per usual. Love that course.

Shell Landing lined up today and The Preserve Wednesday.

Just finished playing Greystone. First time there and will definitely be back. Greens were rolling great and fairways were well maintained as well as the sand. Challenging layout but fun

Have to go to St Francisville today may stop at beaver and hit some balls and test the shoulder out.

At my last visit to the Physical therapist i asked how bad my shoulder was when 1st came in, he said i had about 5 to 10% of lateral rotation, I could barely get my left hand behind my butt, last Monday he said I was about 30%, he said i could step up the swing to 50% it may hurt but wont hurt the shoulder

Shell Landing was an awesome track. Great shape all around. Only downside to the day was the flies. Mating season and they were incredibly annoying on some holes.

Got washed out at The Preserve. Got through hole #1 and lightning brought us back in for the day.
