That’s what happens when the greens aren’t primo.

Had some a-hole pick me to finish last. As long as I beat the shite out of him I’m good.

Santa Maria. Pretty good shape except for the bunker. Way too much sand. The rain over the last week seems to have really helped it out.

I played much better today than yesterday.

Played at Denham Springs CC today. I haven't been there in years and I had only played it once. While it wasn't great by any means, it was better than some 9 hole courses I've played.
And at $20 with a cart for 18 holes, its was a good deal.
I didn't play well today though, and not one segment of my game was working well.
But hey, golf beats work any day.

Frasch Park in Sulphur
6/13/18

$22 for 18 holes with a cart at 4pm.

Boxes and Fairways were in good shape.
Greens were very slow and some were pretty rough looking.
Bad spots, dead spots, and some invasive grass on the greens.

I hit the ball pretty well... scratched out a 76 with a triple on #3.

I posted this in the Wetlands thread but it can here as well

Ok, I just walked the course and putt on about 1/2 of the greens, so here is the update. It rained hard yesterday so keep that in mind.

Tee to green, it’s in great shape. Lots of grass on the tee boxes and the fairways looks nice. Of course, there are spots, but overall, it looks great.

Sand, full of water today, but lots of sand in the boxes. Yes, I did walk into a few of them to check

Greens. They were the worst I’ve ever seen them back in January/February. Like shut it down bad. It’s obvious they have recently been punched and verticut but they have healed nicely. Putts were a bit slow, but rolled true. Very playable They looked nothing like they did this winter and early spring.

Yes, there are still some spots on some greens, but in general, they are in decent shape. If condidtions continue on this lace, in 2-4 weeks, the Wetlands will be in its prime condition.

Played at Denham Springs CC again today. The course was in a little better shape than yesterday. They were able to mow under the trees since the rain dried up.
I shot well, and especially well on the back nine.
I finished with a 78 after a double bogey on the 18th.

Sunday played the Dukes @ St. Andrews-79

Monday played New Course in a match against a couple of locals. We gave them 5 shots and got hustled. Lost on 17 green.

Played the Jubilee Monday, as well. Birdied the first but ended up shooting 80.

Tuesday played Torrance @ Fairmont. Shot 82.

Wednesday played Lundin Links. Shot 84, had 6 lost balls on the first 6 holes.

Played Thursday at the Old Course in 60mph winds. Stung 3 irons off the tee and punched 5’s for my approach most of the day. Shot 77, eagled #5, drove 18 to about 30 ft and left my putt short.

Video of the wind Thursday

Played Stonebridge in Bossier yesterday....fairways need some water, but the greens are in great shape. Hopefully we get some rain Monday & Tuesday as forecasted....likely will get nothing.
