...and what will it look like? What will the path be to be able to play on tour again? This is a question that is being asked today at the players. Apparently there are rumblings that some are interested in coming back. On the opposite end, what will LIV require to allow them to break their contracts? Will they allow it at all?

LIV just posted a video today explaining their season long competition, roster movements, etc.

At the end of the season, the top 24 players are locked for next year.
Bottom 12 players in individual standings could lose their spot.
Up to 4 new players can be added through their performance in the International Series (Scott Vincent is the only player from 2022).

Seems like whatever their contract situation is, it’s most likely performance based too

Hasn’t LIV said from day 1 they would like their players to retain their PGA membership. The players just have to play in their events as well?

Pga Tour has made it very clear they won’t allow you to retain your card while playing LIV…
I do think LIV makes it through the year and that’s that. I think Koepka and Cam Smith are really second guessing their decisions

I know they can't hold a PGA Tour card while playing LIV. I am talking if they resign rorm LIV and want to come back to the tour. Q school? Korn Ferry? Sponsors exemptions?

Would be sad to see a guy like Brooks, DJ, Cam Smith have to go through Q school because that is actually taking a spot away from someone that isn't technically fully exempt by a major or tour win just a few years ago. Such a shite show this has turned into coupled with the hypocrisy of the "elevated" events.

Guys like brooks and DJ aren’t going to return if they have to go to Q-school. They would retire before they go through that grind.

I could see brooks returning soon but only if he can come back on the tour. Same for cam smith.

Why do you think Brooks/Cam Smith specifically? Are you just guessing?

I haven’t seen anything that leads me to believe either of those players would return to the Tour

No way DJ returns. He just split with adidas so he can wear LIV stuff.

DJ is one of the few LIV players that *should* have lifetime membership… I don’t think he wants to play till he’s 40 though.

He and Phil both have lifetime memberships. I think he stays put though.

So he doesn’t want to play another year and a half?

I don't think he much longer than that. He has stated that he doesn't to play very far in his 40's. That was the main driver for joining LIV.

To weaken LIV? I can see them allowed back with conditions.

This is a great point. I thought they would make them go to q school and a year on KF. However, the F you to LIV by bringing back the big guys would be big. How could the pga do this without losing face? Rory going to be cool with DJ picking up a hundred mil and coming back a year later?
