What’s the dumbest golf shot you ever attempted that actually worked?

Mine was probably 15+ years ago when I was lucky to break 95.
Hit my tee shot into a fairway bunker, green was 230 out with a forced carry over a lake of about 200. I tried to wedge out and didn’t make it over the lip, ball rolled back down into the bunker.
I decided the hell with it, pulled out my 3 wood and took a rip, hit a beautiful high cut that cleared the lip of the bunker, landed on the green and ended up about 10ft from the hole, then I made the put for par
They say it’s better to be lucky than good

I’ve ripped several shots out of/through trees that didn’t touch a single piece of the tree and have landed on the green.
I’ve hit great shots that catch the tiniest pine frond and get knocked straight down.
Golf is so damn weird

Every time I’ve tried hitting over a tree or trees to get onto the green instead of hitting back into the fairway and trying again, my ball looks like it’s going to clear the tree then suddenly hits a small branch and falls straight down.
It’s either that or, as what happened to me a few hours ago, I hit and the ball smacks a tree trunk then bounces right back to where it was positioned when I hit it
.
I’ll let you know about it when it actually works.

Date line sometime in the 80's at Warrior Hills Ft. Polk, La. Par 4 dog leg right with trees on the right. Slice one into the trees and have a small window to the green but have to hit a big cut fade. Pull out 3 iron for a 150-yard shot and have to cut it 15 yards. Catch it solid starts turning towards the green and lands softer than a mosquito with sore feet about 15 feet from the hole. Then I three putt.

UT Golf Club I was like +7 through 10 or 11 in 40 degree weather and 15+ winds and hit it in fairway bunker. Perfect lie 260 to hole. Driver out of it to 25ft. Made eagle and cashed by 1 stroke. Pretty sure if I par there I go home.

In a fairway trap behind a tree about 110 yards away from the green. Opened up the stance and tried to hit a 30 yard slice with a pitching wedge.
Hit an accidental shank, and it was perfect about 7 ft from the pin.

My problem is that I have hit a ton of dumb golf shots but I dont remember any of them working out. One of the big improvement parts of my game is to play smarter.
I am a 15-18 HC when all rules apply. I have recently started playing most Par 5s as a layup 2nd shot rather than go for the green which usually winds up putting me in trouble.
Now, I have a bunch of mis-hits that wound up smelling like roses but not dumb shots...

2 man Scramble tournament a long time ago. Left of the green on the 8th hole at Haleyville CC. Absolutely dead, told my partner to try and get it on the green somewhere and I was going to try something stupid.
He got it just long which we could at least make bogey from. I took a 5 iron full swing into the steep bank. Ball pops up, lands on the green curls into the hole for birdie.
Absolutely no way that should have worked, and did.

Last week at Les Vieux Chenes golf course. I was behind a tree on hole #15 for my 3rd shot. 125 yards out I decided to try to go over a tree instead of punching under it knowing good and well I could not hit my pw that high.. Hit the shot and it went thru the tree not touching a leaf or branch and landed 10' from the flag. Made the birdie and should have quit right there because I stunk up the last 3 holes.
