Watching the LPGA major. Sun umbrellas on the PGA

I noticed most of these women have Sun umbrellas they stand under to get some shade on the course while waiting, I see it all the time on the courses I play too.
It got me thinking, you rarely, if ever see that on the PGA. Is it an unwritten rule? Are they worried about looking weak? Is there another reason?

Probably the Asian influence where the paler you are is a sign of affluence

I did it last week.
It helps with the heat, but I forgot to grab my umbrella today.

Oh yeah it helps a ton. I’m just curious why you rarely ever see it on the PGA tour

Definitely Asian influence. Umbrellas used for shade in Asia regularly

Thailand courses - eveyone is covered up and unbrellas on every back. Caddies are abundant and they all have wide brim hats, Sun sleeves, long pants and an umbrella- can’t blame them.
After 40 years of golf, my skin looks like crap…..So stupid of me :-(

How often do they actually play somewhere hot for the PGA? Seems rare for the most part, could be why we don’t notice it much

This tourney is getting good

Holy fricking shite. Do the women always play this slow? It’s taking like 20 minutes per hole

Between the women and the Xander-Cantlay final pairing it’s going to be a slow day for golf.
But to answer your question, there are some egregiously slow women out there.
College golf for both men and women right now is awful for pace of play and it’s leading right into them as pros.

I just timed the 17th hole for the Lexi group. 18 minutes
And she has to be the least clutch pro athlete in history

She’s taking a minute on every putt when she’s already at the green.
Start reading your putt when the first person is reading theirs as well.
It’s not that hard. Horrendous pace of play. And they’re on the clock.

I’d take Will Z’s Zorro sword putting technique from 3-5 feet before I take Lexi’s. I honestly think when she has a lead she should just try to nestle the ball next to the hole. Who cares about making it.

I need her to stop putting with the glove.

They finished the 17th hole at 2:40. It’s already 2:52 and they aren’t even done hitting their 2nd shots
This is a joke
I never want to hear those cocksuckers on the pga tour radio tell me to watch this shite ever again. This is painful

It’s fascinating golf. They decided to make them play in 3somes because of the coverage window. And they’re so slow on top of that.
Lexi was a train wreck and so enjoyable to watch.

Lexi really is just so unclutch, I feel bad for her she’s choked away so many majors in this exact same way. As far as the slow play, it seems like for whatever reason the women have their caddies lined them up on most of their shots which takes an extra 30 seconds or so. When everybody does that on every shot, it leads to very slow play.I don’t know why that is so common in the women’s game?

Theegala. Woof. Why he tried to go for the green that first time was mind numbing
