I sent for demo 7 “iron-wood”, but I would guess the elite PGA champions tour seniors are playing the “exotics” line.

Going to test it out and see what it does in my hands. Lack of distance and lack of direction are the only 2 problems I encounter on the course.

Has anyone hit the “iron-woods” or any of the Tour Edge lineup?

I see them advertising some. Quality seems good and pricing is reasonable.

It seems that the quality of the lesser known manufacturers is improving.

Sub70 gets great reviews.

Who are some of the less well known club makers with reasonable prices?

I forget the youtube channel, but someone did a comprehensive driver testing with just about every major driver out there and the Tour Edge came in 2nd to the Mizuno STZ.

Everything I have seen out there indicates Tour Edge is as good as any other company out there.

Tour Edge makes some great equipment. Not sure on their iron woods. But Cleveland has a set that has got some good reviews.

More traditional looking that are distance clubs are PXG 0311XP, Callaway Rogue OS and Cobra's.

A Hybrid mixed set might be a good option, especially when you get inside 150 yds and need more tradional scoring irons.

Probably more like 125 for me.

I was thinking of getting another hybrid so I’d have 10.5 driver, 15, 18, 21,24 degree fairway woods, 28 and 32 degree hybrids, then 8, 9 iron, then wedges of 45,50,55, and 60.

Garage is beginning to look like a used golf club store. Maybe I should give more away, trade, sell, etc

Very solid equipment, performs very well!!! Pricing is lower because of less advertising.

What shafts are you playing, they can make a difference as well.

I have a very gently used driver from them I need to get rid of. Stock shaft was too flimsy for my swing speed.

Tour Edge’s woods have long been cult classics

Had a TE 3wood for about 3 years that I loved. Was a damn cannon

I still carry the original 3 wood and I also own the 4. best FWs I have ever hit.

I tried to use the 32 degree 7 iron wood during the round today.

First swing was kind of a pull, but it jumped off the face.
Second was a better swing, but it came up 3 yards short.

Pretty windy today so judging distances was a little harder than usual.

I like the feel.
I will take it to the range when my back feels better so I can swing it 25 times or so to see what it sort of averages.

oh just those 2? Well it's definitely most likely the clubs you're swinging.
