I’ve been playing well lately, a very good round for me is 80 or below and I’ve done that 4 straight rounds, culminating in a 73 today (+2), my lowest score ever by 3 strokes.
I know how it goes for amateurs, the collapse is coming as everyone always says

What are some tips for maintaining great play? Assuming I can’t practice or play more than 1X per week because of work/family obligations.

Just enjoy playing well.

Reversion to the mean exists.
It’s real for all golfers.

You need to go into your nearest Edwin Watts golf enterprises and get fit for “quality play”.

What do you want people to tell you?

You maintain quality play through practice and playing more, that’s it. There’s no secret thing that’s gonna make you play the best you’ve ever played forever

You're almost going to have to fit in an extra range session or two to keep that up. Playing once a week and staying in the mid 70's is a tough task.

I wish you all the best and I hope you continue to play well and score well.

Golf is hard. I shot 79 last Thursday, 85 on Saturday. There is a fine line between your “best” and “the rest.”

I played 9 today. Was one under at 6 tee. I did not make another Par. For me, that’s golf. Playing good for a round, a 9, a hole, then poof- good golf is gone like a fart in the wind.

I think if you keep taking a good swing, your results will be generally good.

I just try to enjoy any good shot and live with the rest. I’m not making a living at golf.

Yea I mean you’re totally right. It’s crazy, today I could shape my driver just how I wanted, striped a few long irons, was even disappointed when my wedges weren’t tight.

As an amateur, if the amount of time you spend on your your play/practice stays the same, so will your scores. It is what it is. Enjoy these rounds while you are in them because they will be fleeting

I’d stamp this as a recommendation, once you start hitting it good there is nothing more better for your game than talking about how good you are hitting it!

I was striping everything on the range today.

Then I had my worst score of 2023.
I’ll try again tomorrow.

Strangely, I putted decent.
Just got out of position over and over and found some really bad spots.
