To be an a-hole that thinks he knows everything? Time for some new material.

He knows nothing about golf, equipment and history.

He is just a kid short in stature and a load short on common sense.

His insecurities alway arise and his nature is to be a antagonist because he can't add anything to a real discussion.

The sad part is that he is proud of being a jerk on a message board.

Clearly. It's obvious I don't know about the history becuase I don't value some "legacy" shite or whatever like you.

If there is one singular miscalculation on the part of the PGA it was the degree of discontent among their golfer with the old business model.

i'm not sure discontent is it. just want as much $ as possible. new guy comes in town with tons more $, guaranteeing it for years to protect against potential fold, and there you go. the beef with the pga model is almost entirely fabricated by the liv narrative they force the players to push imo. those guys were plenty happy before. now they get way more $ with nothing at stake each week.

Not sure if this is true, but these were the ones in the meeting.

Do you realize that Tiger and Alfalfa just introduced 18 events, 60 top golfers, no cuts, with 20 million dollars purses? The PGA is in full panic mode.

Something they now say was in the works years ago. Sure it was, that's why Tiger was telling PGA players 2 weeks ago that wealth will just destroy a golfer's work ethic.

They've said every single change was already in the works. It's total bullshite, and there's sheep here that believe it. LIV "wasn't a threat" 8 months ago and there's been MAJOR changes to the way the Tour works since LIV put a tee in the ground.

But all of those changes just coincidentally happened once LIV gained real traction. Sure

I call it the, "if it's in print, it must be true," syndrome.

I've also noticed that the media, who have all picked up on the new revelation, just can't seem to notice the stark similarities to a certain prototype of golf tour now in existence.

Yep, and I like the PGA Tour just the way it is. Hate this knee jerk reaction.

I thought this had been in the works for years though?

Or do you not believe the Tour?

These guys have been lied to and taken financial advantage of forever.

The PGA players sound like they have had enough, and frankly, it should be getting obvious to one and all they want off the plantation.

I'll willing to stop when Alfalfa does. Just don't hold your breath on either.

Got it, so you're selective on what unverfifed stuff you believe and don't believe.

Based on nothing but how it makes you feel some stuff is true and some is bullshite

Plantation? Please, I'd love to be on that plantation. Tiger leading this is ridiculous. The guy is a billionaire because of golf. Such a rough life.

I'm just to the point that I don't care anymore. Bunch of rich, entitled athletes squabbling over money.

I wouldn't look for your invitation to be the next player's advisor. You seem to be disconnected from current events.

Actually, this is why this position is his Tiger's domain. He knows how to make money and lots of it. He wants the PGA to get rid of their silly no-tax/charity business model and start paying these players 20 million dollar purses. He wants no cuts, also guaranteeing more revenue for these top 60.
Among other ideas discussed was an annual stipend for players. Does this sound like creating revenue for the players without having to win something? Perhaps they might even get around to owning their own NIL right. Just like college players.

The new digital project led by Woods has already won the commissioner’s buy-in, multiple sources told Golfweek.

The one-day events are designed to complement the PGA Tour schedule and will launch in 2024, according to multiple sources familiar with the concept.

A source at NBC Sports says the network has an option to be the media partner in the venture.

Look how busy and influential Tiger has been. He already has a ONE-day event, specifically designed to put money in the player's pockets up and running in 2024. Why it's almost like they are getting special appearance fees. And Jay is signing off. And NBC is more than likely not far behind.

This wasn't even discussed at the meeting and is not happening.

$500K up front that would be drawn against their earnings for the season.

They're not even going to be on golf courses.

I don't think I'll understand how people are so pro-LIV or pro-Tour. The split is bad for golf. Taking existing events, with existing history, having the best players there, and with an actual way for people to qualify based on their play in other events, is a good way to get the best players together more often.
