Different than anything in the area. 0 trees, links golf. Adjacent fairways are always in play for some golfers, it’s tight on some holes. Condition are usually pretty decent. New clubhouse is nice. I like it.

It’s pretty good for a public course. One of the better munis in La imo.

I lived in LC '82-'85 and played there a lot, known then as Mallard Cove. Photos now show zero trees. It was fairly wooded back then, especially on the back 9. Is the current course on the old piece of land with all the trees removed or at a totally different site? I remember the old airfield was adjacent to the course. That old course was a lot of fun-seems like every hole was different, didn't get tired of playing it.

My lowest round ever was at Mallard Cove. It’s a wide open easy course.

It is a completely new course with the Mallard Cove name.

I really like the course. Shoot well on front, because the back is more challenging. I havent been back since they finished the new clubhouse, but it looked nice while being built.

They don't take cash. Nice course and club house.

It’s a completely different course. They sold the old property to Chennault and built a new one more south of town. Not a tree in sight on the new one.

I played Mallard during that same time. Enjoyed the dogfights. An aside, I was recently trying to think of the last name of one of the regular "A' players. His first name was Denny. ?

I vaguely remember someone by that name but that's about as far as I can go-too much time and distance.
