I played my first round last summer with some rental clubs. I finished school and I’ve been playing for about six months now. I’m thinking about getting some Cleveland CBX zipcore wedges. What are y’all’s thoughts on these?

Second worst commercial behind any PXG commercials.

I’m going to try to hit them somewhere before I buy them and see how They feel. At the very least I think they look a lot better than the older CBX 2 model.

Great wedges for players that struggle with the wedge game. Mine it up and hit it like any other shot.
They’re not for players who want to manipulate the face and hit different shots

I was on the fence between RTX and CBX. What’s your handicap? I’m around a 15 and use game improvement irons but bought the Cleveland RTX zipcore. I love it and I’m glad I didn’t get the cavity back.
I have the 56* 10 bounce for overall versatility and plan on getting the 60* 6 bounce for tight lies.
I love the look. Can’t imagine a cavity back wedge tbh. Plus it’s a shorter shaft. You will have more control and less mishits in general than your irons. Just my two cents.

I don’t know what my handicap is. I usually shoot in the 90’s but I’ve shot in the high 80’s a couple times.

Some of the greatest wedges of all time were cavity back - Ping Eye 2
These days there is so much technology in the wedges, it really what looks good to you and feels comfortable, especially inside 100 yds.
Then you consider bounce, shape, etc...
The new Ping Glide 4 wedges are getting great reviews.

Wedge game is all about turf interaction. Cavity backs will provide additional forgiveness for the poor interactions with earth.
CBX wedges are great for that.
