Damn Dave, I wonder how he really feels?

At a dinner where 11 people attended. Doesn’t say much about the prestige of the PGA Championship.

How many past champions would you expect to be there?

It’s not the Masters which is played at the same course where the prior champions have an honorary membership.

Or maybe Phil is just a “little prick” himself?

If everyone of your colleagues hates you, you likely are a huge douche

More than 11. Hell, Daily went to Hooters and a casino instead of the dinner.

Just unnecessary.

Again, shite-ing on Phil is just what the "cool kids" are doing.

PGA is like Talladega, it's always won by nobody's.

Phil pissed the tour illuminati off when he won Phoenix as an amateur. He's also one of the greatest shite talkers on the planet. Stuffed shirts like Stockton see themselves as some sort of cool kid gate keeper.

I wonder if there is treatment for whatever it is that's wrong with you?

Phil is just the other side of the Tiger coin to me. Tiger and Phil are both polarizing figures, and in the early 2000s most people took sides. There are good reasons to like and dislike both of them.

Personally I think he messed up this time. Golf is one of the last sports where pros and fans aren't severely delineated. You don't need an expensive ticket to get right next to your favorite players. You can play many of the courses they play. The fan is more a part of the game than in any other sport. Complaining about pay is the antithesis of that.

The PGA tour is a big reason for that. Being run as a non-profit(as well as all its tournaments) it has given millions of dollars to charity over the years. Phil attacking them makes him look classless. The fact they base pay on week to week performance makes this a great sport. He kind of looks weak calling for money guarantees for just showing up. That might have to do with how much he's lost in gambling and bad investments, but who knows.

I'm sure he will be back at some point and will be forgiven, but the only people on his side for this one are the other aging or struggling pros who haven't had as much success recently.
