Saw a thread on the OT about the corruption within this organization and misuse of tax dollars. I found the superintendent on the BREC website which makes this even less surprising.

How is the superintendent chosen? How can we get more of these funds actually going to BREC golf courses?

Must be some recent changes because the three ‘best’ courses are all pretty terrible right now. I think The Island got the BC super earlier this year?

The Island got the asst super from BC.

BREC went equity themed and we all know that that’s typically the first sign of a shite show

2/3s of BREC’s commission is chosen by the CP council. Call your council person and raise hell.

So the Metro Council. I’ve never heard it referred to as the City-Parish Council, thanks for clarifying. I will be in touch with them here shortly about the following:

-crappy carts at City Park
-running out of carts at Clark
-7 green at City Park
-3 sink hole into canal at Webb
-pond bank on 11 at Beaver eroding and losing fairway
-lack of a marshall at Beaver
-what benefits marshall’s/volunteers receive?
-pace of play at SM
-current conditions at all BREC courses

I am thinking about rejoining Pelican or possibly UC. Tired of being disappointed.

And you thought it was tough to get a Saturday morning tee time at Santa Maria.

Thank you if you really do this. Please post their response, if any. I’m sure it will be boilerplate.

It's already started to go downhill as they've been shifting money to the smaller courses for a while. BC and SM use to be in excellent shape pretty regularly.

BC is in as good of shape right now as it has been all year. A couple spots on edges of greens but they are rolling awesome

Fairways and roughs are awesome shape

Been Marshall's last 3x I've played. Pace has been good.
