it’s a blind 220 yd shot into a green with a 20 foot drop off on the rear into bushes.
On a dry day the ball will run through to the middle of the 9th fairway if you're long.
Awful hole, hate it. Fun when you hit the green though lol

Turtle Hill golf course in Meunster TX, it’s literally built in a cow pasture. You can sit on the 5th hole (which is about 39ft from a giant wind mill spinning and making noise), and see the whole course.
This is what they want you to think it looks like
This is what it actually looks like

Holy crap, that's bad.
Though from a distance the green looks decent

Pretty sure that’s spray paint… good news is you cannot miss the fairway on most holes because it’s about a 2000 yard wide pasture and in most cases the rough is preferable to what they consider fairways

Ville Platte Country Club gets really bad for an ultra private ultra exclusive course

Denham Springs CC. Barely golf. Just barely.

Bayou Bend in Crowley a while back.
- Mud (no grass) on greens….not even rolled
- Don’t accept tee times. Just show up and hope to not wait long to tee off

Crowley is fun as hell though. Greens are usually decent. Cheeseburgers are fire!!!!

Hole 4 and Oak Knoll. Just the one hole. For those that have never experienced it, it’s a blind 220 yd shot into a green with a 20 foot drop off on the rear into bushes. It’s blind because there is literally a ridge that runs across the middle of the hole. The best part is there is an inverted mirror that you have to look up thru to make sure the green is clear before you hit. No reference point, nothing to aim. Just hit and hope for the best.
Plus the green is turtlebacked so you have to run it up there with the just the right amount of speed. Such a dumb hole

Played Belleview in Franklin and few weeks ago. Greens were really bad

it was Green Meadows.
The original was a pretty cool design. If they would have maintained the course and kept the original design, it would have been a good test of golf. If you played the "new" part that was west of the original 18, it was a rice field that they let the weeds take over and laid out a golf course on it.

Ville platte and ultra private/ultra exclusive just don’t go together

I’ve played Denham Springs CC and that was pretty awful. I remember playing the course in Carville by the leprosy center and losing a ball I hit straight down the “fairway” because the grass was too tall.
