Slicing/Pushing the golf ball

The past couple times I’ve hit the range, I’ve developed a terrible slice like shot. It’s barely even getting off the ground, and going immediately right, so I’d say it’s more of a push. Any suggestions to help with this? Back away from the ball? Move it closer up in my stance to my front foot? Stronger grip? Too much top hand? Thanks, all!

If you aren't getting it in the air and slicing, sounds like you are getting the clubhead turned over.

You could be clearing your hips too fast or coming over the top hard.

Is this more of an either-or situation? Like you either push or slice...Or is it a combo of the two, a push with the ball going farther right?

2 possibilities here:
1. You're not releasing the clubhead; you're maintaining the angle between your lead arm and the shaft too deeply into the downswing. Feel like you "throw" the toe of the club toward the target before impact. See if you can find some pictures of tour players where their club is about 3 feet beyond impact. You'll see what yours should look like.
2. Ball is too far back in your stance, causing a too steep angle of attack and not giving you enough time to release the club. It's like standing too far up in the batter's box against a hard fastball.

When I miss right (usually a push slice, but it gets off the ground) I am pulling my self shoulder too hard/early at teh start of the downswing.
This causes the club face to be open at impact and the ball to start right and go righter

If it’s a push, check your left elbow on the downswing. If it’s getting away from your body, it can cause a push.
A few more things can cause a slice

Turn your hat around backwards
Move your change from left pocket to right pocket
Bark like a dog
Swing

Is it a low ball flight or high ball flight?
