The velcro has worn out on my Scotty Cameron putter. I love the cover and honestly considered paying an upholstery shop to stitch on new velcro. Then I just assumed, I could hop online and order a new Scotty Cameron head cover. I’m not a very smart man but I felt this should be easy. Apparently not, or am I missing something? Help me out. I can’t seem to find a site or anything to order a replacement cover.

I checked the Scotty Cameron website and the only “options” I could find that appeared to be for sale were when I clicked around and got to the Speed Shop or Studio Store. On there, everything’s sold out. I’d like the weight tool and weights too. But that’s sold out as well.

What are my options here? Full disclosure, I did buy an aftermarket replacement but it’s just not doing it for me. The length of the cover is almost a full 2” longer than my club. To my eyes, it’s weird to me. Yes, I like my shite to look good. Yes, I’m picky.

Look on eBay. They’re not often available directly from Scotty Cameron.

Any AM&E brand cover should be comparable in size.

You can send it in to the SC speed shop to customize and can pick one of the current covers. Problem is lead time is about 3 weeks to a month. Otherwise, you can buy or trade aftermarket with on FB, Craigslist, eBay, etc. I prefer the main SC FB page. Expect to pay around $50 for the most basic to game or $150+ for a collectible.

Go to picclick.com, but beware, if you have even a moderately rare cover some of the prices are absurdly ridiculous.

My dad passed away in November and I am in the process of selling his Scotty Cameron collection. I'm down to about 30 putters so I have many head covers that are in pretty much perfect condition. Do you know what model you have?

Thanks for the responses folks.

I have a Newport 2.6. I honestly haven’t seen many if even one other player with this putter. If you do have it, consider that SOLD.

I’m gonna check out that site and also reach out to Scotty cameron directly. I appreciate the suggestions. I’m learning more and more every day it seems with this stuff, even after 30yrs in the game. Did not realize there are “rare” putter head covers.

My Velcro is crap on my sc putter - I can’t tell how many times it’s just came off from the putter. I’ve been lucky that it’s been returned to pro shop etc.
I sometimes take the cover off before tge round but I’m not crazy of the wedges banging around it

Sorry for your loss. Still miss my Dad as a playing partner. Do you happen to have any original Cameron Classic 1 or 2.5 putters?

If you're on Facebook, join Scotty Cameron Collectors group. Or Scotty Cameron Buy/Sale. That or ebay. There are a decent amount of fakes out there, especially on eBay. Didn't realize that until I joined the FB group. Don't expect to get anything in decent condition for under $50. Any non stock, cool design will all be $100+.

So sorry man. My mom passed away in October. I struggle every single day with it. Losing a parent is so tough.

If you are still selling some I'd probably be interested in a few models and head covers.

Regarding the head cover, I have several that would work for a Newport so I guess the question is, do you want an exact match to what you have? I have several nice ones that will work for Newports.

Regarding what I have, I started out with 41 putters and I down to 26 so I have sold most of these on eBay. Most of the putters are either in perfect condition and have never used or, they're in really good shape. I have a few Studio Designs with the dark mirrored look that are beautiful. I have five Circa 62 models, a couple of Red X mallets, a few Studio Style, Studio Select and Studio Stainless Newports, a couple of Lagunas and a couple of Futuras.

Probably just need to figure out the best way to send pics.

My man. It sounds like your father was a man of excellent taste. Sorry to hear of your loss. I also find it awesome that he had 41 Scotty’s. Let’s just say, I’ve got some new life goals.

I’m sure a few of us on here would love to take a gander. I’m not super tech guy but someone may be able to offer up an easy way to securely discuss this offline without having to trade emails on public. Hell it may be a feature on TD already and I just don’t know.

Sorry for the ridiculous fees. Try GolfWRX or the Scotty Swap & Sell group on FB. Keep more of your money in your pocket

Nice. Great collection. Im up to 8 or 9 now and looking to keep going. I'll just keep checking to see when you're on and post my email address when you are on and I'll just edit the post once you've seen it. Hopefully there aren't too many people on the golf board looking to send spam emails.
