We let him play through since he was by himself and I proceeded to watch him have the best round of golf of his life apparently. Every tee box he’d crush it and the stare at his driver and shake his head ??
Not relevant here but just a funny story

How did you see all of his tee shots if he was a single when you let him through? Seems like he should've been a few holes ahead of your group.

I give someone a freebie on the first time. The second time, I make a visual that lets them know, I aint happy.

If it happens a 3rd time, I'm picking their ball up and throwing it in the nearest pond.

4th time gets me teeing it up back at them. frick em

Foursome in front of him was slow.
Eventually they let him through too

Went and played today because BR Metro tournament is tomorrow and my daughter wanted to see what kinda shape it was in… Needless to say she was thrilled (extreme sarcasm) Nothing like playing an important tournament at a shitty fricking course. Her words “I’d rather play it at Clark or City Park., ridiculous “

Oh and the three teenage slapdicks I had to yell at was the icing and the shite sandwich.. we’re walking off 6 green and these fricktards at attempting to drive the fricking green.. like fricking wait a damn minute until people clear of you want to do that dumb shite

I played City Park yesterday, and it honestly was not too bad. A few areas had dirt on the fairways that should be repaired but for the most part, their greens are better than Santa Maria and except for those dirt areas, the fairways are equally as good.

City Park doesn’t have anyone hitting into you and everyone is as friendly as can be. If they close that course, I’m gonna finally go north of Baton Rouge and check out the BREC courses up there. Either that or finally bite the bullet and buy a membership at Pelican Point or Greystone.

I went and walked 6 holes at CP after work. Greens are in great shape. Gnats were kinda bad right at dusk.

City Park's greens aren't as full of weeds as the ones at Santa Maria were last week.

Welcome to BR public golf. Santa Maria is hard to get onto and you will always deal with slow play and people like this.

No I’m skinnier and younger. Was wearing a black polo, khaki shorts and a black bucket hat.

Yeah, SM has some poa issues right now like a lot of courses. Their greens are dramatically better (design, size, etc) than City Park’s though.

Should have called the club house and have these clowns ejected from the course.

Maria has poa issues bc of the pathetic ground maintenance plan and upkeep. It will look like shite in 3 weeks and continue thru October bc no one will actually take care of it

When it warms up…..
The temps for May 5th are projected to be low 50’s to mid 70’s,
Great golfing weather and amazing weather for poa.
So all this beautiful weather is wasted on waiting for the Poa to die? That’ll probably be a month or longer.
Enjoy.

Poa is extremely resistant to many herbicides these days. Also, yes we’ll have a few more cool mornings but as soon as temps hit 90s, the sun is gonna torch the poa.
