I am looking to replace the shafts in my irons. Anybody have any recommendations for a trustworthy individual, preferably in Greater BR area, who is capable of doing so.

Guy out at Greystone does it. Edwin Watts has his contact information. I would trust him over someone like Dicks Sporting Goods

I need a shaft replaced on a women’s sand wedge I bought on eBay. I asked the guy at Dicks last weekend when I was buying golf balls and he told me - no problem, do you have a new shaft bc we don’t have much.

The demise of the local golf shops is troubling. Those guys were the real club builders and repairs were their specialty.

I hate the large stores for repairs.

Luckily in Houston area we have a couple of guys that know what they are doing.

One of the best in Houston is Mike at Impact Golf on Dairy Ashford between Westheimer and Briarforest.

It can bet tough to find, it is tucked away in a little strip center that has a sign that says Nails and Massage....

Lots of mini tour and Senior tour players bring their stuff to him to be worked on.

Mike is a great guy.

If you are on the Nothside, then Trevor at Impact Precision on Cypresswood and 45 is very good. Trevor owns it. It you want a total fitting beter than Club Champion then this is the best, not cheap but very good.

Trevor plays in a lot of events and he can bomb it. He knows his stuff.

Do it yourself. It’s surprisingly easy. I just re shafted my 7 iron, 54 degree and 3-wood recently with no experience whatsoever.
