Is there something on YouTube or similar that helped you? Indoors…:I’m in a cold weather winter climate.

How do you correctly use one and what does it teach you?

Orange whip has you tube videos.
It mostly helps you develop a swing with good balance and tempo.
One struggle for people is “over the top” move, where the upper body outraced the lower body from the transition.
The orange whip makes it where that is hard to do.

For a beginner I truly believe you should spend some time watching “stack and tilt” videos. Check out Nick Taylor Golf, Tom Saguto Golf and Jess Frank Golf. Also check out GolfTec Video Lessons which have a lot of Stack and Tilt fundamentals.
People say stack and tilt is a gimmic program but it does give a beginner great fundamentals such as not swaying off the golf ball, at impact having the majority of weight on your left side, proper impact position and release of the club etc…
Can’t hurt and it’s free lol
Also the Orange Whip is expensive but you can find cheaper knock offs but it does help with improving your swing.
Check out Acustrike Divot Board, it helps show where your low point of your swing. Also divot path.

Agreed with the comment below. Good for tempo and balance. Even when striking the ball well, I always struggled with a slight out to in that caused a fade. Orange whip has me more in to out and even hitting some draws now. Not a miracle worker, but it clicked well for me.

First and foremost, before any video or lesson.....
You'll refer back to this book for the rest of your golfing life.

Top Speed Golf and Saguto Golf are probably the easiest guys to learn from, IMO. Saguto is funny and explains it so simple. Top Speed is another must watch.
I'd also focus on taking what you're already working with and make it better. I dont have an orange whip (on my purchase list) but I have had good success with a medicus. If you try learning a whole new swing then you'll likely throw your mechanics out of whack. Take it slow. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Follow Mike Bender on Instagram and thank me later. LINK
Watching his videos and reading his book have completely changed my game this year. I've fully committed to the swing he teaches and it's really improved my consistency and ballstriking.
He is Zach Johnson's coach, fyi.

Don’t buy any book, don’t buy any training aid. You will waste time and money. Find a quality teacher- if you have to try a few find a guy. Rob Murphy at Golftec is good.
