inb4 subtle brag...

Any of you swing things before? thoughts? My set should be here some time next week. My current iron set is Mizuno JPX 825s. Been using them for about 4 years now, and this is the first time ever having an "upgraded" set of irons that are fitted with specific shafts and what not.

I have a golf trip planned for labor day weekend so my plan is to have a few range sessions and a round or two before heading out so I can take them with me.

Did those of you who swing them see improvement, or is it just really just a mental boost knowing you have PXGs thinking they're magical?

I got mine a couple weeks ago. Played 3 rounds. More forgiving than the Mizuno's I had. Really like the PW around the greens. Ball goes higher and straighter. Didn't gain any distance. Still trying to dial them in because I went with graphite shafts. Liking the Driver that I got with the Veterans deal.

Had a friend order some last week and should have them in for this weekend. I had no idea that PXG was so supportive of military veterans.

He was able to go to the pxg site, enter in his military information and was sent to a completely different website. Got the irons for 50% off.

I'm too poor to ever swing the PXG's, congrats on your purchase though.

I went with 6-GW on the irons because the lofts are strong. So now I a gap between 4H and 6 iron. So I'll probably buy the 5 iron.

Nice. I went with 4-PW. I’m very comfortable with my SW and 54 degree vokey so I didn’t see a need to mess with my “around the green” clubs. Not to mention if it saves a few hundred bucks.

They have a deal going now too where they’re actually sending me a hybrid for free since ordering 6 or more 0211s...

Sounds like you might have lost some distance. I typically pick up yardage with graphite shafts.

I did a quasi fitting over the phone with the rep and he said while graphite shafts can increase distance, my swing is too hard and fast so he said to stick with the steel.

Well since every PGA pro that signed with PXG has seen their world ranking crater, I’d assume your handicap is going to go up a tick.

Those clubs are the ugliest on the market and that logo is terrible. They look like knock off mizunos.

I liked PXG’s twice, went from a consistent 4-5 handicap to currently trending 8.7, put some Srixon’s back in the bag and working my way back down. I don’t blame the irons, it’s never the arrow it’s always the Indian, but as much as I wanted to like them over the year I played them they never really “worked” or “clicked” for me. I was fit yet your mileage may vary, just never worked out for me nor went low with them. I had the 0311’s and have not hit the 0211, but if Bob Parsons wants to change my mind for free I’ll take a set. I just found it funny comparing my game to those under contract on tour with them
