The international team hasn’t had the lead after any single session since 2005. I wouldn’t say the “non-Americans” always play well in these formats On paper it is another bloodbath and there’s no reason to expect it not to be.
thanks for the jinx, dick.

Would this be one of the biggest comebacks in these cups if we can pull it off?

Right now it's just 3 points. LOTS of golf to play.

Again, the US has the top ranked players, but not necessarily the best putters and these things are always about putting

Yep. Kisner should be this generations Corey Pavin.

Pavin hit 7 iron from 150, but he could get up and down from every garbage can on the course. He was America's feared weapon in the Ryder Cup. Now we throw Koepka and DJ and Tony Finau out there, hitting it 400 yds and never making putts

watched most of the coverage last night.. Don't remember DJ attempting many putts inside of 25 feet -- other than the 2 footer he fricked up

To be fair, there won't be many putts inside 25 ft with wind and greens that fast and firm.

Level par may win every match-up today in alternate shot

I think the jet lag coming straight from the Bahamas is a fairly significant factor. Hard to think these guys aren't tired. Woodland, Xander, and JT all played poorly.

Royal Melbourne looks like an incredible golf course.

I'm watching a replay of last nights matches. The Internationals are making every damn putt they look at. With the exception of Tiger & JT they've jumped out to lead every other match early on.

They partnered really well, too. When Oosthuizen finally cooled off, Ancer got hot. It seemed like every match was like that.

The only International player that looked shaky, to me, was Joaquin Niemann. He hit every iron fat on the first 4-5 holes, and never seemed to get the speed of the greens figured out. The rest of their rookies were rock solid
