Polyurethane grip tape over old grips?

Anyone ever do this instead of a complete regripping job? Reviews for multiple brands are overall positive with the only consistent downside being limited durability.

Just re-grip yourself. It’s not that hard.

I’ve done it myself before. I’m trying to get a bit more tackiness. My current grips aren’t that worn, and I figure if I don’t like it, I’ll just take it off.

Really trying to see if anyone has any experience with this wrap.

You should just get some of that pink expando tape they use to wrap a horse's hocks.

If you get the 360 grips with no logo it is even easier

I wanted thicker grips so I started using tennis overwrap. Easy to put on over existing grips, lasts for months. Takes only a few minutes and they only cost a few dollars.
