Really liked a few courses I played that had a score range guidance for what you typically shoot. Was easy to pick a box when it shows 80-95 play the ducks, 96-115 play the bears.

I hit the ball really far and play from the tips. Usually too long for the average courses, but it’s nice to even play from the one ups occasionally. Forces you to use different clubs.

like I’ll score the same from no matter the tee

Played almost exclusively whites in 2021 and almost all golds(up) in 2022, and I was 3 shots lower per 18 holes one tee up on the same course.

It helps, but it’s not going to make you 18 shots better per round.

A great player could go really low some days moving up, but 8-12 index will not shoot in the 60s one tee up.

Length is not my issue. Many holes I have to use a 3W to dial it back and stay out of trouble.

I've played from the tips on my home course and the landing areas on the fairway seem to open up. It's almost more natural to play that way.

Depends on the course. I have to play blues on a course like Santa Maria. From the whites your not hitting full shots into the greens all day long

I looked in GHIN, and I make two more pars per round now compared to one tee back.

It helps, but moving up has not improved my basic swing, putting, or chipping.

That is why I’ve started some lessons. In January, I took a putting lesson. In February, chipping. In March, I plan to have a full swing session.

If I can gain 1 shot from improving each area, that would be great. Of course, as the weather improves, performance will likely improve some based on conditions. I don’t know anyone who is playing their best golf right now on a wet, cold, soggy course. When the time change comes, playing more will help as well.

One day, I played 36 holes on the same 9 holes, one 9 from each tee box. Had basically the same score from all four boxes.

I don't play enough right now, so I'm actually better from further away from the green than closer to the green. I have no touch and would rather a stock full swing than something half or 3/4.
