Anyone played Rock Creek or Soldiers Creek lately? Playing Rock next Friday on way and looking to play Soldiers on the Monday. Curious about conditions.

I played Soldiers Creek the week of July 4th. Greens were in good shape with the exception of 2 of them and the fairways were well maintained. Would play again.

I played Rock Creek a couple years ago and it was fantastic for the money.

I would put it between Webb and Beaver Creek.

I joined a golf league this year who has their club championship at Rock Creek every October. I consider myself a fairly decent putter, but all the other guys in the group keep talking about how difficult the greens are out there.

Haven’t played either, but it’s 5 minutes from our beach house. If I can get a hot deal I might check it out. Is it a good layout?

You have to read the hill the hole is set on, but just the green.

Rock Creek was fun to play. Beautiful course layout. I enjoyed all the hills as I’m used to playing flat courses. Haven’t played in two years so can’t speak of the shape it is in. Soldiers Creek you are getting what you pay for. Very broad and open. Nothing special. Reminds me of every City course across the South.

I played Rock Creek 2 weeks ago. Only made it through 7 because we got caught in a monsoon. The holes we played were in fine enough shape.

Can someone give me an update on Kiva and GSCC?

It’s been years since I’ve played SC but it was in great shape back then.

Played GSCC last week. It’s in the best shape I’ve seen in awhile. Lots of rain has it looking plush and greens are in great shape. I prefer Peninsula to Kiva or the upper end of courses. Haven’t played Kiva since February. I usually play Peninsula once a week but it’s been less frequent with the heat. Love that course. All 3 par nines are challenging and unique.
