Who will get in more one final round in before it gets sent to the glue factory?
I’m sure the greens are still in bad shape but I’m going to take an afternoon off next week and get in a round.

I haven’t played there since ‘82-83, doubt I’ll miss it, sorry…

Played two weeks ago at the Fred's Tournament. It was horrendous.
Lost more balls in the rough because you couldn't find them even a few feet from the fairway.

Man, we used to have some fun at that tournament. Standing on the patio betting on people was the best part of the day.

Played in the state AAA tournament there in 75. I was the first one to tee off because I shot over 100 in the regionals. Must have been 100 players, coaches with a few caddies surrounding the first tee. One of them was my brother who caddied the first nine before he had to go to school at LSU. Number one was a par 4 with a ditch crossing the fairway about 75 yards. I was shaking, hoping I wouldn't whiff the ball in front of the crowd. Topped my drive and was bouncing like a rabbit down the fairway. The ball raced toward the ditch and hopped right over it. I got a smattering of applause. CSB. I enrolled the next fall at LSU and played a lot of golf there. Fun little course.

The Old Front Nine is already a parking lot.

I’m playing tomorrow at 9:15 if there isn’t a monsoon occurring.
No available tee times on Friday & Saturday.
If they had this turnout over the last 5 years, maybe they keep the course in good shape and they build the new arena elsewhere.

I also played in that tourney. It was awful. Hadn't played it in about 8 years.

You have to watch the "no tee times available" Two times I went and there were maybe 4 cars in the parking lot and they would not let me play because of "no tee times available". The 1st time, Steve let me play, the 2nd time he was not there and bascially told me to kick rocks. Did pass there yesterday and was suprised to see at least 20 cars in the parking lot.

We got there at 9 or so and they probably had 10-12 cars in the lot.
Course was basically empty with a group 3-4 holes ahead and someone 3-4 holes behind.
3:30 total round.
Green were rough
Tee boxes were thick and the rough, while not bad, had a bunch of clover where you could lose your ball.
When I was looking for an errant tee shot on a hole, I stepped on two other balls before I found mine.
When we left at 1, there were >30 cars in the lot.
