Ok, cooler weather is scheduled across the Gulf South. Thank you Jesus! (or your preferred deity.)

Fall Tournament season is here. Please post details well in advance to give everyone a chance to make arrangements to play.

Playing City Park South for the first time tomorrow. From the reviews on here it probably will be a let down.

I played it recently and liked it. I'm not the greatest golfer, but it's very forgiving and it seemed to be in good shape. My game however...

ETA: I have the yips with almost everything except my 56 and the putter. Something has changed and I'm not sure if it's mental or if I developed a bad habit somewhere in the last three months.

Played City Park South today, 39-42. Course was in pretty good condition, greens had sand on them but rolled well. Round was very miserable though. Almost 6 hours to play 18 due to some small event; 8 groups playing something like a Ryder Cup (called Cyder Cup). We were behind their last group, let's just say they were slooooooowwwwwww. Had a hole and a half between them and their second to last group from hole 3 on. Marshal did nothing to encourage them to pick up their pace. Plumb bobbing from both sides of the hole putting for triples.

Enjoyed the foursome I was with but man it's hard to play so slow. My take on the course, nice muni with very little trouble but no way the tour plays there. No challenge for those guys.

Charity scramble at Belle Terre; they have lost their greens. Dead spots and bad grass on all of them.

Played Atchafalaya for the first time. Course was in okay condition. All bunkers are “ground under repair” and the greens had some rough spots but overall I liked it. Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the par 5’s that all force you to lay up either off the tee and/or second shot

Played in the Houston Open pro am today. Scott Stallings was great, Robby Shelton played like he dngaf. We finished -15 net. I think the winners were -18.

82 w/ a birdie today. The birdie was the worst putt I hit all day but the bayou bend bounce worked into my favor for once

I played with a guy on the UNO golf team. He’s better at golf than I am

I may or may not have told him his coach’s TD handle
