When you go out to play mini golf/putt putt, do you "try hard?"

Bring your own putter/ball? Line up all your putts? Make sure no one beats you?

How do you let your kids play? Do you let them whack it around 4-5 times each hole or do you instruct them on how to putt and make sure they do it "right?" (while still having fun of course)

My wife accuses me of being too serious at mini golf and says our son (now 3) will never be able to freely go to putt putt and just knock it around.

I don't bring my own putter, ball, or anything like that, but I do line everything up and try to make the lowest score I possibly could make.

Damn right! And I mark my ball with a poker chip unless it’s inside the windmill.

i bring own putter, the ball is questionable because a lot of times the plastic putt putt one is lighter and better to use for bouncing off things than a pro v1 or equivalent.

I got hounded at a work event for bringing my own putter. I wasn't out for blood and was having fun, but I wasn't about to mess my recent putting success up by gripping and ripping some kiddie putter with a different weight and grip than I'm used to.

I make sure to look at the slope from both sides of the hole before putting. I also try my best to use the aim-point method and read the grain of the astro-turf.

Nah...because I'm usually with the wife and kids.

Very minimal coaching. They both play sports though and are pretty coordinated. They'll usually asked if they're lined up right and thats about all the "coaching" I do.

Thats because you're a Falcon's fan and used to losing so you over-compensate to make up for your shitty football team.

Just joking...kinda.

Only douches bring their own putter on a family fun night.

Playing with my GF and no kids.

Absolutely try. Maybe not out for blood but definitely look more than just step up and hit it.

I bring the entire bag. Never know when you're going to need to bump and run or chip over the clown.

It also tells everyone else there, that I mean business.

3. Dozen proV1s
4. Portable putting green for warmup.
5. Putting coach

7. Personal trainers: cardio and strength
8. Manager

Heck yes. My family works hard to beat me.

They've even managed it a few times.

My kids know life isn't going to let you win, so I don't either.
