May have found a cheat code for my golf swing…

Went to the range a couple of Fridays ago and wasn’t in a hurry at all. Had it in my head that I was just going relax and not worry about swinging hard.
Tried a little pre shot routine of being relaxed and taking a practice swing focusing on straightening out my trail leg during the backswing. Doing this really allows me to make a full shoulder turn with zero stress on my trail knee…the weight shift to the forward leg came on its own and then just fired the hips towards the target. My hands naturally just fall into the slot and releasing the club just happens and nothing seems forced or unnatural.
Out of the 100 balls or so, I may have only had about 6-7 bad balls. Did the same thing this past Saturday morning and had the same results. Finding the sweet spot time after time and really compressing the ball with what seems like 80% effort.
Played a round yesterday and struck the ball as well as I ever have consistently off the tee and on my approach shots. Now I need to focus much more time on 100 yards in, plus chipping and putting.

That’s a great feeling! Congrats!
I’m in a similar situation with my woods which have sucked for about a year. All of a sudden, something clicked.

I've gone back and forth with the straight trailing leg. After while, my hips would always end up getting stuck and I'd start duck hooking tee shots.
