What is best way to buy a single practice round ticket?

A very generous friend who I play golf with gave me 2 out of his 4 tickets for the Tuesday practice round that he won in the lottery. I’d like to bring both my Dad and brother so I’ll need to procure a third ticket.

I’m expecting to pay in excess of face value, just wondering what the safest method is so I don’t get burned...any advice helps!

Not sure about the “best way” but Seatgeek has some listed and I’m sure Stubhub has them as well. For Tuesday’s round on Seatgeek, they’re listed for between $1000-1200.

Scalpers. The ones on third party websites get flagged most of the time

the prices go down when it gets closer to the event. I wouldn't pull the trigger on the $1000 ticket

You would get a "banned for life" letter directly from them if that were the case.

Sign up for golfwrx and buy them on the BST

Also they go for way less than $1K if you’re willing to wait until closer to the tournament

I haven't won the lottery in the like 12 years I've been entering. I'm sure if Augusta found out, you would have received feedback from whoever bought the tickets from you. Not to mention contact from Augusta saying you weren't ever going to receive tickets again. Most people I know have never won the lottery fwiw

ill call augusta's bluff. the resale market is very large. i think they sent out the fake "you have been banned for life" letter last year just to deter as many people as they could. we are talking about 10s of thousands of resale tickets. they cant monitor that.

Stubhub. I’ve bought Masters tickets from them before and had zero problems.

Me and my brother bought Tuesday practice tickets the night before last year when the Tiger Phil Freddie group broke on golf channel. Just under $700 each

I'm surprised at the high prices listed for practice round. I went about 15 years ago to the Tuesday practice round; bought two tickets outside the gate for $100 each ($50 face value). Wednesday practice round tickets cost more because of the par 3 tournament.

My dad won the ticket lottery last year for this year's Monday practice round. News broke of Tiger, Freddie, and JT playing a practice round together. I talked to several guys in the concession lines that had scalped and paid $700-800 just b/c the Big Cat was back in action. I saw several scalpers on the side of the road selling badges. You could take your chance with one of them
