LSU commit Trolio loses in semis of US am to Ogletree 3&1. Ogletree wins US am (UPDATED)

Cohen Trolio (LSU commit that graduates in 2021) made it to round of 8 after winning 5&4.
He won his quarterfinal match 3&1. Faces fellow Mississippian Ogletree in the semifinals this afternoon
Update: lost in semifinals 3&1 to Ogletree
His dad, VJ, is a putting guru at Old Waverly and developed the putting arc.

He was also known for averaging 269 off the tee in 1999 and shooting 82/82 at Annandale in his only PGA Tour event, kidding aside he knows his shite and his kid is a stick.

There is another kid on that list that LSU had on campus for a visit but kid gave verbal to Stanford.

Great kid and family I worked with his dad and Tim Yelverton during the summers in high school.
While VJ surely knows putting as he developed the putting arc. He’s more of a full swings coach and Tim does the short game teaching. Tim is Kevin Kisner’s short game coach.
It’s pretty wild that in West Point, MS there are two top 100 golf instructors and two top 100 courses right next to each other. A lot of good golfers are starting to come out of the area.

2 of the final 8 are from Mississippi. Ogletree is from Little Rock, MS which isn’t too far from Meridian. He plays at GA Tech

I can't imagine the pressure. He's got a very legit shot of qualifying for the masters. I think it's the winner and runner up of the us am that get masters invites.
Also, would like to note that Cohen's grandmother (V.J's mother) passed away last week. I'm sure it's going to be an emotional day for them.
