When I hit a long straight drive I probably don’t even watch the ball finish. When I hit a good crisp iron shot I’m probably staring it down until it comes to a complete rest.

Thus, I prefer the iron shot.

I don't remember the last time I got a good drive, but I've hit plenty of good iron shots.

So I'll take the drive.

For my game I’d take the driver. I actually strike all of my irons exceptionally well. My driver can be so bad at times I leave it in the bag and hit 4i off the tee. I’m a bogey golfer but on good driver days I can shoot low half of 80s. It’s by far the worst part of my game

This would have been my answer, but I spent so much time fixing the driver my irons went to shite

Smoking a drive and just knowing you crushed it is a pretty awesome feeling, but doesnt even come close to the feeling puring an iron right on line and watching it sail. There's just nothing quite like it and its absolutely what keeps me coming back.

eta: Long straight driver for me. All good scores start with an approach from the short stuff.

Everything about this says you don’t strike your irons “exceptionally well”

Then let me rephrase. “I strike my irons exceptionally well for a shitty golfer” :lol;

When I chip in is my favorite because I might have saved 2 or even 3 shots depending.

Doesn’t matter where I hit it with the driver unless the next one is on the green

Probably not having that beautiful iron shot if you shank your drive either.

Hand in hand.

I’ll say for me the drive feels great but the iron shot feels like an accomplishment
