No. Way. Pride said those players don’t matter.
They don’t. I said the only players that matter are the designated guys. If the Tour didn’t let them know, they are going to have a shite show on their hands.

After reading that letter it almost sounds like LIV just bought the PGA Tour.

New CEO position paid for in Saudi blood money. Jay just wanted his piece of the pie. The immediate fall out of this will be interesting. The biggest losers in this deal are the players that stood by Jay.

That’s exactly what happened. They big sucked them. Jay is the head but he’s now a Saudi lackey instead of a PGA one.

From Dan

I’m told the guys who took the LIV money and wanna return to the PGA Tour will definitely pay a fine. Won’t be equal for every player, either
Interesting. So will the fine be an amount to bet against their liv payout to make it equal to what they would have made on tour?

My source who happens to be Joe Burrows agent ..said that the threat of being a deemed a monopoly was figured to be the biggest reason PGA caved!

Everyone saying jay is still in control. Let’s be real. PIF controls the money. You control the money you control the company.

“Good faith, fair and objective process”

That’s going to be difficult to negotiate, but I doubt it is going to be severely punitive.

SVP:

So, you preach loyalty to a tour and convince guys not to take 8 and 9 figure deals based, in part, on that loyalty and, in part, on the source of the money. Then those guys find out on Twitter YOU took the very same money?

I wonder if LIV will become the new WGC.

I’ve always seen LIV as the way the WGC was supposed to be. I think that’s what this ends up with.

Really?? On one hand you have an established product and the other was a pet project funded by guys that throw money away and get bored with things pretty easily.. Not really hard to figure that one out.. LIV was a loser no one watched and they had an opportunity to dump it.

It's not all that complicated. The business model for all sides simply wasn't working. LIV thought they would get all of the top 50 and a big TV deal and little pushback from the PGA and DP World tours. None of that happened. The PGA Tour got all it could get money wise from its sponsors and it wasn't near enough to compete financially with the deep pockets of LIV. The DP World Tour lost too many members to LIV. They were destroying each other; they had to merge.

This is like the Sirius and XM Satellite merger from years ago. Apart they were dying. Together they will survive.

The winners will be the LIV players. While their money will more than likely scale back to something more reasonable, they cashed in when they could. The PGA will have to do something to satisfy their players but that can be made to happen. There's gonna be a lot of complaining in the meantime, though. (Maybe this is the reason Rory stopped running his mouth the last few weeks; he knew this was coming)

The loser is Greg Norman. I think he will be the odd man out on all this. He wanted to drive the tours out of business and sold the Saudis on a false bill of goods to achieve this. The Saudis want to make money and look good. They will make their money now.

Well said.

The fans win, I know I'm happy. A ton of players got royally screwed. There are going to be players disgusted with the Tour and JM. There are already guys saying they are frustrated because they were loyal to the tour and the PGA caved and let the players back. The PGA Tour has pie on it's face. In just one year, Saudi is essentially controlling the PGA and can use JM as a puppet.

This is wild.

Golf channel just said Brandel is going to be on here soon.
