Y’all are putting the cart so far before the horse on exactly what is happening right now

The fact Norman didn't get named to the board is kind of telling to me. I wonder if the PGA merged with LIV with the stipulation Norman wouldn't be a part of the merger?

Just here for the brandel melt links.

I'm wondering who caved? I can't believe it would have been the PGA since they are stronger than ever in ratings, attendance and with the new TV contract. Seems maybe the Saudis got tired really fast of hemorrhaging a ton of money with a long road in front of them and decided to try and merge with the PGA is my best guess.
Red, you can't be serious.
Either way, it's a good day for golf.

They are paying billions to the Tour they have been shite talking for months.
Money is not an object to them. Their attempt to disrupt was successful. It’s painful watching you fight this. Just cringy.

mean I still don’t know why people are acting like they know who the “winner” is from an organization stand point
One organization didn’t exist two years ago. The PGA had a monopoly. Now LIV has the chairman position. That is monumental progress in a very short period of time. Almost unheard of in any industry. You are making a fool of yourself.

It’s okay to take your L.
Phil Mickelson has changed the dynamics for the players on the PGA far more in their favor now than they have had it.
Phil has always said that Tiger brought so much money to the Tour and it gave Phil an unbelievable life. Phil thanks Tiger for that. Now future PGA Tour players can thank Phil Mickelson for taking it a step farther.

Why? The PGA weathered the storm and was stronger than ever. There didn't seem to a ton of players willing to jump ship after the initial wave. In fact it seemed to be the opposite with LIV players not being totally happy missing out on the PGA events. I don't see many reasons why the PGA would jump at a merge at this point unless it was a phenomenal deal for the PGA.

The Board of Directors of the new commercial entity will include Al-Rumayyan as Chairman and Monahan as Chief Executive Officer; the new entity’s Board will also include an Executive Committee comprising Al-Rumayyan, Monahan, Herlihy and PGA TOUR Policy Board member Jimmy Dunne.

How can Norman and the LIv players be winners here?

It’s one or the other. And for now, Norman does not look like a winner

I think the Korn Ferry, DP and LPGA will see a big financial windfall in this latest development! Pro Golf worldwide will win.
Hopefully this will allow them to bring back the Chitimacha Louisiana Open!!

But for some reason people believe LIV won here.

So you agree the LIV players won bigly?

but an absolute historic loss for LIv the league.

they were still making good money to go along with the contracts they had to play in LIV.
The players that went to LIV likely made out very well between tour earnings and whatever their signing bonus was.
