I do agree with that. Regardless of how we feel about Phil, he’s clearly well respected among the players and his dislike of monahan is apparently a very popular feeling right now.

They already are making more because of him. Now it’s just going to be even more.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Jay is now the enemy of everyone.

Yeah. Jay talking about keeping certain guys out… that’ll be interesting when he’s gone and they bring in someone who’s fresh and can actually smooth things over.

Whatever was going to become public knowledge during litigation must have been really bad. Jay was just saving his arse.

I’m curious what could possibly be hidden that there was such a rush from both sides to get this done.

We’re talking billions and billions of dollars involved and 3 people sat in a room in secrecy and knocked this out. I think both sides were negotiating from weakened positions.

They can make sure they are the only money coming in. That is more powerful.

Kinda like citizens elect Congress and president, we all know they do what's best for the citizens and not the money, amirite?

You are clueless about the situation, Mr. Important Businessman.

PGA was already trying to raise capital. But lots of businesses/partners are tapped out plus they’re wondering why guys who aren’t on the PGA are winning majors and not playing in their tournaments. Add that to the litigation costs and what was coming out of arbitration, and the PGA was stuck with having to talk to the Saudis. Pretty obvious what happened.

Wesley Bryan has a great interview that just came out

Cliffs

Lower level players hate everything about this

Higher level players seem more receptive to it

Rory has the respect of everyone more than ever and stayed for an hour talking to anyone that wanted to and they all hate jay

This deal and the details seem far off from being close to finished

Pretty much the gist of it

He has certainly warmed up to it. I’m sure they all will once they realize they money they’re set to get.

All,those sponsors forked out more money for the designated event purses only to have Rory not show up at Harbor Town.

I just find it strange so many golf “fans” want to dunk on Rory. Wesley Bryan is a pretty straight up dude, and he said there isn’t a player out there who does more for the other players than him. Just is weird

Also, seemed like this was obvious but if not

Why? I thought you LIV guys said they had all this cash stashed away. Only because of LIV they were able to spend all of this hidden cash.

Turns out they had enough for about half a year's worth of elevated events before needing a bailout from the bad guys.
