Lesson recommendations in North LA

I’m playing Torrey Pines South in March and my swing is an absolute disaster right now. I’m looking for recommendations for instructors in North LA to set up a few lessons between now and March. I live in Arcadia, so anywhere from the Texas line to Monroe is my geographic limitation.
I know Shaun is no longer at 265, but is the new guy good and worth the $150 an hour? Is the person at Squire good, and can I get in for a lesson without a membership?

Chad Darby at 265 is good. He has some online content.

I moved home to Monroe for a job back in 2018 ahead of my family that had to finish school in Houston and my swing was all kind of jacked up. I figured I had about 5 months of being in Monroe during the week with nothing better to do so I hooked up with Clay Weems to reconstruct my swing from the ground up. He had a place in the old Twin City Mall by Cajun Made Golf. I can’t recommend him enough. Great guy and instructor. I even think he travels to Calvert some.

He was at $250 when at 265. I can’t imagine what it is now.

For those prices I better hit the ball like 2001 tiger

ETA: are these guys coaching tour players? That’s the only people I can see paying that kind of rate.

The last 3 lessons I had with Shaun at 265 were $250.
Outside of a few of their regulars, they don’t even let you book hour long lessons. Full or half day or gtfo.
I understand getting the money while people are willing to pay it but that’s ridiculous

They work with a few but no big names that I know of, and nothing exclusive.
They moved to the Atlanta market and just teach golf to the wealthy folks, which Atlanta has a lot of.

The best…Brad Pullin.
Clay Weems is probably one of the most underrated coaches in the state imo. He was my instructor when i lived in Monroe for 4 years. He’s a phenomenal golfer and really explains things well. Also extremely affordable.

I’ll meet you anywhere from Southern Trace to Tallulah Country club.
Watch me for 18 and do the exact opposite - You will be breaking 75 on the reg!

When?
What’s your current handicap?
Report back after the lesson. I’m interested.

Technically it’s 0.1, but I haven’t played since October and the last three rounds were 78, 75, and 82 in 39 degree, windy weather. A bad pull hook has emerged and I can’t seem to shake it. I think part of it was I started CrossFit after spending my first 42 years on earth fat. So now that I’ve lost weight and gained a lot of strength in my legs and core, what worked before, doesn’t now. I’m going to go in and tell him I’m basically clay and willing to rebuild from the ground up.
