Saw this, I assume that it is valid information.
Draw your own conclusions. I'm not sure this is enforceable in a court of law anyway, seems very penal.

I'm sure that's enforceable in the U.S. court system

"Hmm, should I play with LIV one more year or pay 400 million?" Tough choice.

Would it be in the U.S court system?

If its in the contract they knew what they were getting into
I would have added a clause that if majors refuse to allow LIV players then that penalty is waved or significantly lowered

I would imagine it is more likely than not enforceable. Either way, would pay millions in legal fees to get out of it. LIV will take their pound of flesh from anyone trying to defect for sure.

And?
Just another trickle of information about what the players are held too when they join.
Seems to be pretty confining when you have to wear only their gear, play all tournaments, most interviews are done in pairs or groups.
Just for discussion, not starting crap.

well the Saudis have a reputation for dismembering contrarians. literally. So I doubt they are worried about any legal proceedings.

frick em. They sign the contract, they live by it. If the money is right, why leave? Thats why they left the PGA to begin with- money. No complaining now.

But they sign the contract, so they know the constraints beforehand.
This is a nothing burger.

Professional Athletes always think that they are bigger than the organization and they can change things to the way they want.

The guys that left for LIV changed the shite out of the PGA Tour.

Pretty sure most of them were 3 year deals (base on what I’ve read) and they’re in year two. Anything they have to pay back would be prorated base off of how they have given service to the K and most of them are up after one more season anyway so it’s not as big of a deal as most would think.
