I’ve had mine for about a week or two, 10ft and inside it’s deadly, lag putting needs some work but the technology is legit

I’ve had my DF3 for a few months now and I’m finally getting comfortable with lag putts. The putter feels too light in weight even though I ordered the heavier option. The longer I’ve had the DF3 the more I love it.

Mine comes in tomorrow. Been checking tracking twice a day since they said it shipped in hopes it'll get here sooner
Haven't been this giddy about a club in a while.

Make sure you line up your putts with the ball towards the front of your stance at address.
The putter doesn't work properly if the ball is in the center of your stance.

Yea that's what I've read. I got the press2 grip so I think it's the 1.5 degree offset. I feel like that might be the hardest part I'm going to have to get used to.
The Oz model they just released actually offers a standard grip so you don't have to offset it but I just wasn't a fan of the look of that one. I think it's going to be a popular model though.
Disappointed the weather is going to be so cold that it'll be a little bit until I can take it out and roll it on some greens.

Yea when I was fricking around with the DF2.1 and DF3 at my local PGA superstore, I naturally had the ball forward in my stance and it made me a believer.
Then I bought one and for some unknown reason I just forgot that part of the equation and had the ball center of my stance and I was kinda having a panic that I just dropped coin on something and it wasn't "working" like I thought it would.
Then I watched some of the LAB vids that go into drills and they made sure to state that you want the ball forward in your stance. Once I started doing that again, it went back to feeling how it did at PGA SS and it's been amazing since.

quote:I’ve been using a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.0 for years now. I love the putter but unless my feels are really good that day, I’m lost with the thing.
Wow. I'm a die hard Scotty Cameron guy. Got 10+ of them and that's all I've putted with for probably 20 years.
I can tell within 3 putts on the practice green if I’m going to be rolling the ball down my lines or not. It gets really ugly on 5-8 foot putts if I’m fighting my arse off to roll the ball down my line.
I recently had a fitting at Club Champion and got to test all of the latest products. Eventually, and excitedly landed on a new Cobra Agera 38 inch counterbalanced putter.
I highly doubt it’s perfectly balanced like the LAB putters, but good lord I’ll never go back to a Scotty Cameron.
I’m 6’5” and the length and toe hang of my SC was wrecking my ability to putt consistently. This new putter putting me in a better setup position and how easy it is to start on my line is unbelievable.
The LAB putters were too extreme for me to get comfortable with. But I’ll keep moving in that direction when it’s time to try new stuff.

Mine is shipping today. My Ping has been doing well, think it knows it's going in my office on the bench

Dying to roll this thing on some greens but I love the way it turned out…

Nice, mine is in Arizona now. I'm refreshing FedEx all the time. I have never been this excited for a club

I tried one of those (armlock) with the grip rotated so the flat side faces lead arm. It prob sold me on it. I’m fighting off the urge to buy now.

Finally got to putt with mine yesterday.
Going to have to watch some videos on ball placement. The ball more forward in my stance and the angle on the grip was throwing me off. Add to the fact that that is the first large grip I've ever putter with, it was an awkward time on the putting green to say the least. Actually putted pretty good and the feel of the ball of the putter face is nice, I was just struggling to be comfortable over the ball. Going to take some time getting used to.

All common issues with first trying the lab putters. Look up the” thumbs off” practice video that LAB put out. Also I found the ball position needs to be extremely forward in your stance.

Any other LAB videos you recommend? Wouldn't mind watching a few but I can't really find too many informative ones as far as ball and/or hand placement.

Search YouTube for L.A.B. Golf and also search Sam Hahn as well. He’s the owner of the company and has done some content with YouTubers that go over tips and drills.

Still waiting for my build notification. Placed my order 12-20. Guess they are working through holiday back log.
