I highly recommend Osprey Point. Many would recommend Turtle Point as well. Turtle has a couple holes right on the beach, but I think Osprey is a better golf course.

I prefer Turtle Point to Osprey but both are usually in great condition.

Did this trip a few years ago. Played Ocean twice, Osprey and Turtle. Ocean Course is quite the experience...if you get a chance, have dinner in the clubhouse restaurant at sunset. It's spectacular.

Osprey, to our group, was way better than Turtle Point. The caddies for both rounds at The Ocean Course said Cougar is the third best course behind Ocean and Osprey. All agreed that Oak Point was 5th on the list. Of course, all of that is subjective. You'll enjoy it regardless.

Played Oak Point this spring and thought it was the most overpriced round of golf I've ever played.

If you are playing more than those rounds, I'd go outside the resort.

3 months ago I played Osprey Point, Cougar Point and the Ocean Course. I would rank those courses in this order: (1) the Ocean Course; (2) Cougar Point and (3) Osprey Point. All 3 were good course, but different. Ocean is more along the coast. Cougar is more of a subdivision Country Club inlet course and Osprey Point is very tight and lots of hazards. It all depends upon your preference and your golf game. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those courses.

Cougar point and osprey point for sure.

The ocean course is pretty sweet but some of the winds are wild it’s almost as bad as Bandon dunes winds.

Ocean is one of my favorite courses I've ever played, public or private, American or otherwise. It is Pete Dye's magnum opus, and it has aged beautifully.

I will say that if you play Ocean from the right set of tees (e.g., definitely don't go any further back than you normally try to play and maybe 100 - 200 yards up from your normal total yardage) and the wind lays down, it is surprisingly scoreable. Not easy by any means, but scoreable. The paspalum is some of the easiest grass to play off of anywhere in America - total opposite of Bermuda in that you can hit any kind of shot you please, you can play yoyo with the ball on the greens a bit, greens are super true and not crazy fast, etc.

But if that wind blows, watch out. Last go around I had there, we were playing from the Gold tees. This was a good group of players (everyone between about a scratch to about a 6 or so in a group of 8), and we all somewhat sort of tore up the front relative to its reputation - everyone was in the even to +3 range with a damn lot of birdies on the scorecard among the lot of us on the front. We made the turn, and we got a 20+ MPH swirling easterly for the last half of the round. I don't think anyone in our group broke 90. 17 and 18 in particular are absurdly difficult holes with that wind. I hit a 250 yard club on a 195 yardage on 17 and just barely got in front of the first bunker on the left.
