Just pulled the trigger on some ZX4s

The world is going to hell in a handbasket & I needed new irons. I got Shaft: UST Recoil 760 SW Graphite Regular Flex. I think it will be great.

They were already moving a shite load of product with last years z series.
This years zx series picked right up where z left off.

My dad hit those irons this weekend at a demo day. Said he really liked them but only hit them about 2 yards farther than current clubs so didn’t drop the money.

I’ve hit em and they’re about as nice of an iron as there is. I can’t seem to take a mizuno out of my hand but Srixon is up there with all of em.

At Beau Chene? I hit some there Friday as well.
I'm pretty new to playing golf on a consistent basis. Never had a lesson or even had a swing evaluated. Walked up to the rep and explained that all to him. He said lets see what you're hitting. I got a new Cobra F9 driver last year and teed it up. Hit 6 pretty straight, slight draw drives. He said my average swing speed was 101. My carry was 256 and overall was 278. He said I work 100% on commission and I'd tell you to never sell that driver.
I then said well, lets hit some irons........and thats where the $$$$ started popping into his eyes!!

I’m playing as much as possible the next 4 months. Current irons were 10 years old. It was just time.... and I guess I could always return them

Your dad isn’t Bryson. Distance isn’t everything. I hit the TM P790 and hit them the same distance as my current callaway x2 but my misses were much smaller in the TM.

Exactly. The tech isn't going to give you tons of distance. IT's all about the loft anyway.
The tech and craftmenship is going to let you keep distance but still have forgiveness and workability without playing massive Cobra Hybrid irons or something of the like.
Irons have been irons for a long time. Its just being able to combine distance, workability and forgiveness into 1 club that these new forged CBs are doing which is so great.
