horse shite. The only way golf will die off is if the land the courses sit on is more valuable as something other than a golf course. Covid did more to grow the game than anything else and I don't believe its for the better of the sport or its players. Besides, incels in their game rooms aren't leaving to play golf.

Personally, I want golf to remain a niche sport. I’m kinda happy that there is a financial barrier to entry…keeps some of the undesirables away. Am I the a-hole?

No, the amount of dumb fricks on courses is absurd. Rodney Dangerfield type bullshite without the $ to make them eccentric instead of trash.

I have to agree. In the last 5 years the amount of golfers I’ve seen doing idiotic stuff on the course is staggering. Blatant disrespect to the course, other players, the game, and the rules.

I don’t care about bad golf. If someone is taking it seriously but terrible at it, that’s all you can ask for. Having fun is the point.

My problem is almost solely with playing music on the course. Loud bro country emitting from every cart when I play with my cousin and his buddies… makes me want to poke my eyes out.

I'll never understand this gripe..

Loud bro country emitting

This one I understand.. bro country sucks arse

I listen to music while I play, but I listen to music I like and it's not loud by any means.. hell when I walk away from the cart it's barely audible..

I've always had music playing while doing any activity, but I guess it's personal preference.. Working at the office, doing yard work, studying , etc.. Just always have to have something playing..

That said, even though I'm a proponent of growing the game it needs to be grown in an appropriate way.. I've have witnessed some absolutely dumb shite out on the course..

I don’t know why music would bother you. What bothers me are these obnoxious douchebags acting like teenagers constantly yelling because their buddy just hit it in the fairway instead of on the road like he usually does.

What makes it worse is that they’re slow and have no clue about holding people up and wouldn’t give a frick if they did know

Yes you want to grow the game! Golf is DEAD in Baton Rouge! Look at how many courses have closed! The bluffs, lsu should be closed, the one off airline where woman’s hospital is, Sherwood Forrest. Golf couldn’t be more dead in Baton Rouge!

It’s near dead as it is. There isn’t a single decent public course in town. Lake Charles and Lafayette flat out smoke Baton Rouge in availability of quality public golf.
