PW-41.5
45
50
56, bent to 55
60

I had a 60 much earlier than most people do into playing but I had success with it pretty early on despite being a higher handicap. For me stock yardage with it is about 80 yards, and I’ll use for probably 80% of my shots from 80 to 20 or so out. Around the green club selection just depends on shot, lie, green area, uphill or downhill. If uphill with not much green to roll on, or over a trap then I’ll definitely use my 60 for a flop.

I have a 60 but never use it unless I’m very short sided or need to get it up quick out of a bunker. 85 and in I’ll use my 56. 60 is a great tool to have but a lot can go wrong quick also

Reminds me of Bryson saying he hits his 5 wood 285. Hands it to Daly to hit and he asks what’s the loft. 13*…That’s a strong 3 wood.

I always struggle finding a good 60 degree with the right bounce for my swing.

60 degree is a must if you play courses with green side bunkers. I also don’t find them harder to hit. It’s just easier to lose distance on them if you’re doing a full swing which I rarely do with any wedge.

I have an old 61° Ping Eye 2 that I still occasionally bag, but I prefer to use my 58° now. It's just more versatile.

I switched to my wedges from 60, 56, 52 to 58, 54, 50.

I find the 58 degree much easier to hit and more versatile for my skill or lack thereof.

54 is more than enough.

I had to get a 64, hitting my 60 degree 175 yards.

So you had it bent to 59 to add 3 yards from stock?

Same - it's my favorite club in the bag. It's so versatile. I practice with it so much that inside 90 yards, I know what to do to hit it low or high, spin or no spin, bump and run or soft landing, open the face and use the bounce or square the face and use the leading edge.

I have a Vokey 60* SM8 and I'll keep it in the bag until I can't see the grooves anymore

Same here, I can use my 60 for every shot 85-90 yards in… I’m more comfortable accurate keeping the max distance at 80, but I can get it to 90 with no problem. But for the original poster, he should definitely get a 60 degree. Seems like he doesn’t need to worry about gaping to a 58 degree. You play a lot of different green side bunker shots with a 60.

Bought Ping G430 irons late last year and that’s what theirs is, they are all strengthened about a club up

Same, my 60* is 105y and under. I use it more than any other club in the bag except for the putter.

I carry a 60, 54, 50 and PW.
