Bryson wouldn’t have been a great pick, but he would have been a far better pick than DJ and Reed

Interesting you want to talk about prior Ryder cups but you absolutely can’t shut up about how awful the “buddy pick” JT is
Also, for your reference, DJ was 1-4 in the last European Ryder cup

I’ll give you an example from today.
Morikawa and Fowler had 5 birdies. Why did they lose? Because they had 6 bogies. When their opponents got into trouble instead of playing them they tried to play the course and lost or tied holes they could easily have won.
What is your goal? It’s not to shoot 58, it’s to be 1 shot better than the other guy.

To let you know, the guy who won the Match play tournament this year was on the US team and played like crap in foursomes…..Foursomes is volatile and always has been. You will see some big results for one team or the other at times. It’s back to being very tight right now in fourballs

Has he played awful golf this year? Yes, but I didn’t once bitch or melt about him being picked for this event. I’m fact I’ve defended Zach Johnson multiple times
