I make it a point to check BREC's website every week as soon as the two-week advance booking window opens up because I like to play early rounds on the weekends and get things on the calendar.

I've never seen Santa post morning times. Typically times noon and after, even when looking two weeks in advance. What's the secret?

I want to know as well.

It's impossible to play the best public course in the city on weekends past 12?

Something doesn't seem right.

I've never seen an early tee time online and I have stayed up to catch it at the two-week window.

People being entitled to preferred tee times at city owned courses is the worst

Generally the 60+ crowd playing 4.5 hour rounds with a buddy in the proshop

You and dang near every other golfer alive. That is one of the biggest issues with golf business. Courses only have high demand at certain times.

Though specifically, BREC has not been charging enough for prime tee times at BC and SM for a long time. That would help the course out a lot by matching price and demand.

From what I heard, members can book a tee time outside the 2 week window. So it probably gets filled up on weekends before 12 because of them.

Yeah that was my assumption too. There membership isn't bad honestly since you get access to 6 different courses.

They block off a bunch of tee times for particular groups.

I know this for 100% fact.

Sounds like Nakamoto needs a “call” on this one. Consider it DONE.

I always assumed it was BREC golf membership holders getting preferential tee times.

I wouldn't read into it to much. Now, if I ever join BREC, then this will be the first question I want answered.

That has to be it.

I originally thought it was preferred times for BREC Annual Pass holders, but the annual pass information clearly states that "There are no special tee time privileges included with annual passes." Morning times are available everywhere else, including Beaver Creek.

fricking Santa.

I play as part of a regular group at Santa Maria on Sunday mornings.

We certainly don't get preferential tee times. Sometimes we get lucky and get a time between 8 and 9. Other times we end up with a 10:48 time, which is rough this time of year.

How do you get the 8 or 9?

Call it in?

I’ve never seen that available online.
