I just bought a new house and am converting a game room into a golf simulator room. In the market for a package (net, mat, projector, the works). Everything I've read suggests the SkyTrak if you want to keep things under $10k. E.g. LINK

Anyone with experience or a suggested site?

Is this for practice ahead of the Rougarou Invitational which you have not yet confirmed your attendance?

The only real difference on where you buy from is considering if they charge tax and shipping. Shop indoor golf does free shipping, but not sure about tax. I believe they are also located in Texas. I have a lot of experience with their studios and haven’t really heard any complaints. Def go with at least the 4x7 mat or do the 4x10 if you plan on having both left and right handed players. The 4x10 has stance mats on both sides of the hitting strip.

ETA: sorry I didn’t actually answer the main question. The SkyTrak will work great for an indoor studio.

I purchased a SkyTrak from Rain or Shine golf and just a hitting mat and Rukket net from Amazon. Rain or shine and places like shop indoor golf have packages, but you could piece things together separately cheaper than what they offer. For instance, one of their SkyTrak simulator packages is $7k. It includes their SwingBay - a $4k net/projector screen, a $500 hitting mat, and a $1k projector. My net was $300 and my hitting mat was $150 (I don't have a projector set up yet), but throw in $1500 for projector/screen and you've already saved $2k.

They also sell certified preowned GC2 for $8400, but if you need projector and computer that'll run you over the $10k pretty quickly.

I would wait a month to pull the trigger, there’s a new bushnell/foresight combo monitor about to come out next month. It’s supposed to be skytrack with club data, the price isn’t released but the early speculation is 3K which would be 1k more than skytrack but foresight is leaps better than skytrak. However there are questions if the club data will be released for free or if that will be an updated subscription like the gc quad.

Interesting and thanks. I did notice Foresight isn't promoting the GC2 now. Maybe this is a step up from the SkyTrak but not GCQuad prices. That would be ideal.

All good recs but if going to do it right trackman is the way, but yes it’s expensive, I don’t have any of them but a friend is redoing a room and going all the way, he said last house and not leaving anything on the table.

I think they are discontinuing the GC2. The rumors are exactly what you just said. It will be better than skytrack but not GC quad. If they include club data for 3K it’s an absolute home run, even if that’s a step up at 5K for essentially a miniature GC quad it would be worth it.

Check out the garmin approach r10. I have one on pre-order, 3 weeks out I think. My need is more for bringing to the range but supports home sim systems.

Looks good for the price to take to the range. Will be interesting with the reviews. On the order list. LINK

Reviews have not been particularly good. I was hoping they would be because I would have much rather gone that route than sky track maybe Bushnell. From the reviews that have been reported the club path all over the place. Outdoor Distance seems pretty good but nothing better than Rapsodo or mevo. Indoor reviews have been average.

I have the FlightScope Mevo plus with a nice mat and a net return XL. If you’re not limited with space (need 16’ minimum from monitor to net) I would go with the mevo plus over the Skytrak.
