So I hit it into the water this weekend on #17 at Beaver Creek. I then hit my third shot from the tee box and almost holed out. It was about a foot from the cup and I tapped in for Bogey. I was wondering how I would have felt if that went in?

I've actually done it. Disappointment, as I have never had an ace. It's a par, and that is good, but I was still pissed at myself for such a poor first shot. Hole in par.

Happened to me on 17 at Santa Maria. BuzzedGolfer was there and the first thing he said was “HA! IT DOESNT COUNT!”

Freddie Couples did it at Sawgrass. The working man's par, as it were. It's o. YouTube if you care to see it.

I did it on #12 at Bluejack National. It was 3-4 months after it opened and, according to the assistant pro, would have been the first hole in one on that hole.

Disappointing, but still one of my greatest golf memories.

Got a long par too. Muni here par 3 157yds. Tee it up and hook the s o b out of bounds. Throw another ball down and flush it. Hits the front part of the hole tearing some of lip with it. Still won the hole.
